Role Overview:
The Business Valuation lead will serve as a senior subject matter expert, driving complex valuation engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves leading end-to-end financial modeling projects, performing rigorous due diligence, and providing strategic insights that influence high-stakes corporate finance decisions. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, defensible valuation reports that support M&A activities, financial reporting, and strategic planning. By bridging the gap between raw financial data and actionable business intelligence, you will play a critical role in shaping the investment and operational strategies of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex valuation engagements for diverse business entities, ensuring compliance with international accounting and valuation standards.
- Develop and oversee sophisticated financial models to support M&A transactions, divestitures, and restructuring exercises.
- Execute comprehensive due diligence processes to identify financial risks and opportunities, providing clear recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct in-depth equity research and market analysis to validate valuation assumptions and provide context for financial projections.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by presenting valuation findings and defending methodologies to clients, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and analytical rigor within the finance department.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced financial modeling, including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
- Strong proficiency in corporate finance principles, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, strategic narratives for executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and execute due diligence projects, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for managing client expectations and collaborating effectively within a professional services environment.
- A minimum of 8 to 15 years of experience in business valuation, investment banking, or specialized financial advisory roles.
- A relevant professional qualification such as a CA, CFA, or MBA from a premier institute is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office environment in Gurgaon, balancing independent analytical work with collaborative team initiatives.
