Are you a highly analytical and strategic finance professional with a strong background in business valuations and corporate finance? We are seeking an experienced Manager - Business Valuations to join our team.
In this role, you will be pivotal in providing expert valuation services, supporting M&A transactions, and contributing to our client's strategic growth.
What You'll Be Doing:
- As a Manager - Business Valuations, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of activities central to financial analysis and transaction advisory:
- Client Business Understanding: Develop an in-depth understanding of clients' businesses, their key drivers, and market dynamics.
This includes comprehensive analysis of historical financial performance, working capital, capital expenditure, forecasts, and underlying assumptions.
- Transaction Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of compelling marketing pitches to existing and potential clients.
This also involves developing crucial transaction-related materials such such as Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), teasers, and buyer lists.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Possess hands-on experience in the preparation of sophisticated integrated financial models, due diligence workbooks, and quality of earnings (QoE) reports.
- Valuation Expertise: Undertake detailed business valuations using various methodologies (e.g., DCF, multiples, asset-based), applying a thorough understanding of pre-money and post-money valuations, mergers, and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) models.
- Deal Documentation: Gain experience with term sheets and sale and purchase agreements, contributing to the legal documentation aspects of transactions.
- Market Intelligence: Prepare comprehensive potential buyer (target) lists, leveraging market research and industry insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in discussions among various stakeholders (including buyers and sellers) concerning due diligence findings and broader business matters.
- Team Development: Train and mentor less experienced staff, fostering their professional growth and contributing to the team's overall capabilities.
- Business Development: Actively assist in business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the firm's growth.
What You Must Have:
- Strong foundation in finance, accounting, and economics, ideally with a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CA, MBA Finance).
- Demonstrated expertise in building and analyzing integrated financial models.
- Proven experience in undertaking detailed business valuations across various industries.
- Familiarity with due diligence processes, quality of earnings reports, and transaction documentation (term sheets, SPAs).
- Solid understanding of corporate finance concepts including pre-money/post-money valuations, mergers, and LBO models.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and internal teams
