Role Overview:

We are looking for a high-caliber Business Finance Manager to join our fast-growing D2C brand in Mumbai. In this role, you will serve as the financial backbone of our e-commerce operations, bridging the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with the leadership team, marketing heads, and supply chain leads to drive profitability, optimize unit economics, and manage cash flow across multiple digital channels. Your work will directly influence our growth trajectory by identifying margin leakage, scaling profitable customer acquisition, and ensuring that our financial planning aligns with our aggressive expansion goals in the competitive D2C landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process to provide actionable insights that guide leadership in resource allocation and investment decisions.

- Monitor and optimize unit economics across all e-commerce marketplaces and our own website to ensure sustainable growth and healthy contribution margins.

- Partner with marketing and category teams to evaluate the ROI of customer acquisition campaigns, ensuring marketing spend is aligned with long-term profitability targets.

- Manage working capital and inventory health by forecasting demand and analyzing stock turnover, which minimizes capital blockage and maximizes operational efficiency.

- Drive the annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecast process to provide a clear financial roadmap for the organization's scaling efforts.

- Develop robust financial models and dashboards to track key performance indicators, enabling stakeholders to make data-backed decisions in real-time.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep expertise in Business Finance and Financial Planning, with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, strategic narratives for non-finance stakeholders.

- Exhibit strong analytical rigor and proficiency in financial modeling, specifically tailored to the high-volume, fast-paced nature of the e-commerce and D2C sectors.

- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to influence cross-functional teams and challenge assumptions to drive better business outcomes.

- Maintain a high degree of adaptability to a hybrid work environment in Mumbai, balancing the need for collaborative in-office strategy sessions with focused analytical work.

- Hold a professional qualification such as CA, MBA from a premier institute, or CFA, which provides the necessary technical foundation for managing complex financial structures.

- Show a proactive, ownership-driven mindset, capable of navigating the ambiguity of a scaling startup while maintaining strict financial discipline and governance.
