Job Description: Business Development Manager - GIFT City

Overview:

Glomo Payments IFSC Private Limited, the first Payment System Provider (PSP) authorized by IFSCA at GIFT City, is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our merchant acquisition efforts and establish channel partnerships. This role is critical to expanding our footprint within the GIFT City ecosystem and driving sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Acquisition:


- Identify and onboard new merchants across various sectors within the GIFT City ecosystem.


- Build and nurture strong relationships with merchants to ensure long-term collaboration.


- Actively engage in networking events and forums within GIFT City to identify potential leads.

Channel Partnerships:


- Develop strategic channel partnerships with potential partners, including financial institutions, service providers, and other stakeholders within GIFT City.


- Collaborate with partners to generate leads and expand the merchant base.


- Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements that align with Glomo Payments growth objectives.

Strategic Planning and Execution:


- Create and implement business development strategies tailored to the unique opportunities within GIFT City.


- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the ecosystem.


- Set measurable goals and track progress against targets.

Sales Process Management:


- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.


- Prepare customized proposals and presentations for merchants and partners.


- Ensure smooth onboarding of merchants while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration:


- Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align strategies with organizational goals.


- Provide insights from merchants and partners to improve offerings and enhance customer experience.

Market Intelligence:


- Stay updated on developments within the GIFT IFSC ecosystem, including regulatory changes, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.


- Leverage insights from the ecosystem to refine business development strategies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.


- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working within the GIFT IFSC ecosystem, with a strong understanding of its dynamics.


- Proven experience in business development or sales roles involving merchant acquisition or channel partnerships.


- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.


- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.

- Strategic thinking with a focus on driving business growth.


- Ability to build partnerships and foster collaboration across stakeholders.


- Strong interpersonal skills for networking within the GIFT City ecosystem.


- Sales expertise with a goal-oriented approach.


- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with teams.

Location

This role is based out of GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City), India.
