Manager - Business Development - Logistics

Position Overview

As Business Development Manager, you will spearhead commercial initiatives to convert leads into long-term partnerships. You'll be the bridge between advanced logistics technologies and clients seeking bespoke supply chain solutions, with clear revenue and margin targets tied to your performance.

Your mandate includes scaling local accounts into regional and global portfolios, deepening relationships and crafting compelling proposals. Your strategic insights and leadership will directly influence market share gains and reinforce the organization's reputation as a partner of choice.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and strategic outreach

- Develop and present persuasive proposals; negotiate terms to close profitable deals

- Expand and deepen key accounts via deep selling, cross-selling and high-touch engagement

- Collaborate with operations, finance and service teams to ensure seamless delivery

- Monitor and report on pipeline, revenue forecasts and KPIs using CRM systems

- Resolve client queries promptly to maintain high satisfaction and retention

- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for revenue, margin and client acquisition

Education & Experience Requirements

- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

- 7-9 years in business development within freight forwarding or logistics

- Proven track record in expanding customer portfolios and achieving aggressive targets

- Experience engaging senior expatriate and multinational clients is highly desirable

- Fluency in English (oral and written)
