Role: Business Development Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join a leading Learning and Development (L&D) firm based in Pune.
This role requires 3-4 years of experience with a mandatory focus on B2B lead generation and concept selling.
The Manager will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from generating and nurturing leads to proposal writing, managing client relationships, and increasing the firm's visibility across digital and social media platforms.
Core Expectations & Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Conversion (Mandatory B2B Focus):
- Generate leads through various platforms, employing effective B2B strategies to identify potential corporate clients.
- Nurture the leads through the sales pipeline, converting qualified leads into promising prospects.
- Conduct cold calling and use modern prospecting techniques to initiate contact with decision-makers in HR, L&D, or relevant business units.
Sales Pitching and Client Management:
- Meet clients in online and physical modes (when required) to deliver compelling sales pitches for the firm's L&D services.
- Collaborate closely with consultants and subject matter experts during client meetings to tailor solutions to specific business needs.
- Manage and maintain detailed and accurate records within the client database/CRM system.
- Drive sales efforts, ideally leveraging prior experience in Concept or B2B selling related to HR services, L&D solutions, or professional services (preferred).
Marketing and Proposal Development:
- Create high-end marketing collaterals necessary for the sales cycle, including impactful presentations (PPT) and detailed, professional proposal writing.
- Prepare engaging marketing collaterals that articulate the value proposition of the L&D programs.
- Create visibility on social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to enhance brand presence, support lead generation, and drive thought leadership.
Technical and Communication Skills:
- Possess a good command of the English language (both written and verbal) for professional communication with corporate clients.
- Utilize IT skills, demonstrating hands-on experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other digital platforms used for online trainings and communication.
Required Professional Background/Experience
Experience: 3 - 4 years experience in a business development, sales, or lead generation role.
Mandatory Skill: Proven, demonstrable experience in lead generation within a B2B setup.
Core Activities: Experience in cold calling, managing client databases, writing proposals, and preparing marketing collaterals.
IT Skills: Hands-on experience using Microsoft Office and digital/online training platforms.
