Manager - Business Consulting, Strategy & Transformation (Financial Services) - Indian Banks

Job Description

- A Big 4 is hiring for a Manager - Business Consulting, Strategy & Transformation role for the Financial Services practice, focused on Indian Banks and NBFCs. This opportunity is suited for professionals with strong consulting experience in business growth strategy, performance improvement, and transformation programs across retail banking, wholesale banking, lending, liabilities, payments, collections, and customer journey/process engineering.

- The role requires working closely with senior stakeholders and client leadership teams to drive strategic and operational impact across banking businesses. Candidates should bring a strong mix of consulting problem-solving, stakeholder management, and domain understanding in areas such as business growth strategy, sales effectiveness, cost reduction, collections efficiency, profitability uplift, and CXO-level transformation alignment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead strategy and transformation engagements for Indian Banks and NBFCs across business growth, operating model improvement, and performance enhancement initiatives.

- Drive client projects focused on cost reduction, collections efficiency, sales effectiveness, profitability improvement, and market/portfolio growth strategy.

- Partner with CXOs and senior business stakeholders to shape strategic priorities, define roadmaps, and support execution of transformation initiatives.

- Deliver high-impact consulting outcomes across retail banking, wholesale banking, SME banking, microfinance, lending, liabilities, payments, and customer journey/process improvement.

- Manage client relationships, project workstreams, team coordination, problem solving, and presentation of recommendations to leadership teams.

Candidate Profile :

- 5+ years of experience in consulting, or a combination of consulting plus recent industry experience, within financial services.

- Strong experience in business consulting, strategy, and transformation for banks or NBFCs, with exposure to client-facing project delivery.

Proven work in one or more of the following areas :

- Cost reduction

- Collections efficiency

- Sales effectiveness across retail and wholesale banking

- Performance improvement and profitability uplift

- Growth strategy, entry strategy, and portfolio review with CXO alignment.

- Domain understanding in wealth management, retail banking, business banking, SME, assets and liabilities, payments, lending, collections lifecycle, microfinance lending, and process engineering is preferred.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and structured problem-solving skills are essential for consulting manager roles.
