Experience: 10+ Years

Qualification: MBA from Premier / Tier-1 B-School

About the Organization

A fast-growing organization engaged in extracting oil from Pongamia seeds and exporting biofuels globally. The company is now expanding its footprint in India by commercializing high-potential by-products such as deoiled cakes, lamp oil, and industrial raw materials catering to agriculture, fertilizers, and feed industries.

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to establish and scale the domestic B2B and institutional sales business from scratch. This role will be instrumental in building market presence across India for by-products and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Setup & Market Development

- Build and execute the India market entry strategy for by-products (Deoiled Cakes, Lamp Oil, Industrial Raw Materials)

- Identify and develop new B2B / institutional customers across sectors such as:

- Organic Fertilizers

- Animal Feed Manufacturers

- Agri Input Companies

- Industrial Raw Material Buyers

- Conduct market mapping, pricing strategy, and competitor analysis

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

- Drive end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure

- Achieve revenue targets and ensure consistent business growth

- Develop long-term contracts and repeat business pipelines

3. Key Account Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with large institutional clients

- Manage key accounts to ensure retention, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities

- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients

4. Team Building & Leadership

- Hire, build, and scale a high-performing sales team across regions

- Train, mentor, and develop team members for high productivity

- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive a result-oriented culture

5. Strategic Partnerships

- Identify channel partners, distributors, and aggregators

- Build alliances to expand market reach and improve supply chain efficiency

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and production teams

- Ensure demand forecasting and smooth order fulfillment

Key Requirements

- 10+ years of strong B2B / institutional sales experience

- Proven track record of building sales business from scratch

- Experience in any of the following industries:

Agri Commodities

Oil Industry / Biofuel / Edible or Non-edible Oil

Raw Material Supply for Organic Fertilizers / Animal Feed

Commodity Trading Organizations

- Strong network with institutional buyers and industry stakeholders

- Demonstrated experience in team building and leadership roles

- MBA from a Premier / Tier-1 B-School

- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
