Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Statutory Audit Manager or Associate Director to join our growing practice in Kolkata. In this leadership capacity, you will oversee complex audit engagements, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance for a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients. You will act as a primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, guiding engagement teams through intricate financial reporting challenges while fostering a culture of quality and professional skepticism. By driving audit efficiency and delivering actionable insights, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our clients and strengthening our firm's reputation in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end statutory audit engagements for large-scale corporate clients, ensuring adherence to strict timelines and high-quality standards.

- Manage complex financial reporting requirements under IFRS and GAAP, providing technical guidance to engagement teams to resolve intricate accounting issues.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with client management and audit committees, acting as a trusted advisor on financial governance and risk management.

- Oversee the planning, execution, and finalization of audits, ensuring that all documentation meets internal firm standards and external regulatory mandates.

- Mentor and develop junior audit professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous learning and career growth.

- Drive business development initiatives by identifying value-add opportunities for existing clients and contributing to proposal efforts for new business.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Statutory Audit procedures with a deep understanding of IFRS and GAAP frameworks to navigate complex financial landscapes.

- Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams in a high-pressure environment, balancing technical rigor with operational efficiency.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex audit findings to board-level executives and external regulators.

- Strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying systemic risks and proposing strategic solutions that enhance client financial reporting processes.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 to 16 years of progressive experience in a professional services firm or a large corporate audit function.

- High degree of adaptability to a hybrid work environment, maintaining seamless coordination with teams and clients based in Kolkata and beyond.
