Job Title: Manager / Assistant Director - Statutory Audit (Financial Services / NBFC)

Location: Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage statutory audits of NBFCs and financial services clients in accordance with Ind AS, Indian GAAP, RBI regulations, and SEBI guidelines.

- Plan, execute, and review end-to-end audit engagements including risk assessment, audit planning, field execution, and finalization.

- Evaluate IFRS/Ind AS conversions, impairment assessments (ECL models - Ind AS 109), revenue recognition, and fair valuation of financial instruments.

- Review and assess internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

- Manage and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues, including provisioning, NPA classification, securitization, and consolidation.

- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, CFOs, and Audit Committees.

- Lead, mentor, and develop audit teams; perform performance reviews and provide technical guidance.

- Ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to Big 4 audit methodologies and quality standards.

- Support business development initiatives, proposal development, and thought leadership activities.

- For AD level: Drive portfolio management, cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to practice growth and client expansion.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in Statutory Audit of NBFCs / Financial Services entities.

- In-depth knowledge of Ind AS (especially Ind AS 109, 107, 32), Companies Act 2013, RBI Master Directions, and audit standards.

- Hands-on experience with ECL modelling, financial instruments, impairment testing, and regulatory reporting.

- Proven people management, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

- Strong analytical ability, professional judgment, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.

- Manager: 5-9 years of relevant statutory audit experience in financial services/NBFCs (Big 4 or large audit firms preferred).

- Prior Big 4 or large consulting firm experience is highly desirable.
