Manager/Associate Director, Statutory Audit

Role Overview:
This pivotal role involves leading and managing complex statutory audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the highest standards of financial reporting integrity and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding audit teams, fostering strong client relationships, and providing strategic insights that go beyond mere compliance. You will work closely with senior leadership, engagement partners, and cross-functional teams, serving as a trusted advisor to clients across various industries, ultimately contributing significantly to the firm's reputation for excellence and its commitment to delivering impactful, high-quality audit services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end statutory audit engagements for a diverse client base, ensuring strict adherence to auditing standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS) and regulatory frameworks to uphold financial reporting accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and develop high-performing audit teams, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure efficient project delivery and professional growth.
- Critically review financial statements, audit working papers, and reports, identifying complex accounting issues and providing expert, actionable recommendations to clients and engagement partners.
- Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor on accounting standards, internal controls, and best practices in financial reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in audit methodologies and processes, leveraging technology and innovative approaches to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of audit engagements.
- Ensure meticulous compliance with all applicable company law provisions, accounting standards, and other regulatory requirements, safeguarding the firm's commitment to audit quality and ethical conduct.
Required Skillset:
- Deep expertise in statutory audit principles, Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Indian company law.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to navigate and resolve complex financial and accounting challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, including effective delegation, coaching, and performance management to inspire and develop audit professionals.
- Outstanding client relationship management skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly, concisely, and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential, reflecting a strong foundational understanding of accounting and auditing principles.
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced professional services environment, collaborating effectively with teams and clients across multiple locations in Bangalore and Mumbai.
