Job Description : Manager / Associate Director Statutory Audit (India Practice)
Location : Mumbai
Qualification : CA/CPA/ACCA

Role Overview:
The Manager / Associate Director Statutory Audit will lead and manage statutory audit engagements for domestic and multinational clients in accordance with Indian GAAP, Ind AS, Companies Act, 2013, and applicable auditing standards. The role involves engagement management, client handling, team leadership, audit quality assurance, and contributing to practice growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage statutory audit engagements across various industries.
- Plan and execute audits in compliance with Standards on Auditing (SA) and firm methodology.
- Review financial statements prepared under Ind AS and Indian GAAP.
- Identify audit risks, control gaps, and provide practical recommendations.
- Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Review audit workpapers, documentation, and final deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients for audit requirements, issue resolution, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality, ethics, and independence standards.
- Mentor and develop audit teams through guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Support business development, proposal preparation, and practice growth initiatives.
- Handle multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery.
Eligibility Criteria:
Manager
- Qualified CA is mandatory.
- 6-10 years of experience in Statutory Audit.
- Experience in Big 4 or reputed consulting/audit firms preferred.
- Team handling and client management experience required.
Associate Director
- Qualified CA is mandatory.
- 10-15+ years of experience in Statutory Audit.
- Strong leadership experience in managing large and complex audit engagements.
- Experience managing senior client stakeholders and multiple engagement teams.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of:
- Ind AS
- Indian GAAP
- Companies Act, 2013
- Standards on Auditing
- Experience in audit planning, risk assessment, and financial statement review.
- Proficiency in audit tools and MS Excel.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience handling listed entities and multinational clients.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
