Manager/Assistant Vice President - Corporate Accounting - BFS

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Corporate Accounting to support key finance and accounting functions. The role involves supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, journal entry processing, accounting policy analysis, automation initiatives, and ad-hoc projects. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to strengthening the organization's financial governance and reporting framework.

Job Profile:

The Corporate Accounting Analyst will be responsible for assisting with month-end close processes, post-close reporting, accounting analysis, preparation of journal entries in Oracle General Ledger, and supporting automation of accounting workflows. The role also includes involvement in policy analysis, compliance, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist with daily General Ledger processing activities.

- Monitor and maintain revenue/expense sharing agreements and related journal entries.

- Support filing of quarterly reports, including Home Office consolidation and SOX testing.

- Assist with month-end closing, including operating expense accruals, transfer pricing, and compensation accruals.

- Provide detailed accounting analysis on specific issues as required.

- Support all activities related to affiliate agreement expenses, including intercompany balancing, reconciliations, and invoicing.

- Assist in creating and updating Corporate Accounting procedures related to closing and reporting activities.

- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit matters.

- Prepare month-end reconciliations using Oracle ARCS for balance substantiation and support enhancements to the tool and processes.

- Lead and support projects and process improvements across the Corporate Accounting function, including initiatives related to Oracle Receivables, Procurement, and Projects IT.

- Assist with testing and implementation of new systems and functionalities.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

- BS/BA or MS/MBA in Accounting required.

- 5 years of progressive financial reporting experience within large, complex banking or financial institutions.

- Experience in the securities industry is preferred.

Skill Set:

- Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of US GAAP.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior management.

- Strong systems orientation and product knowledge; familiarity with securities industry products is a plus.

- FINRA Series 99 preferred (can be obtained after joining).
