Key Responsibilities:
HR Function Setup
- Establish the end-to-end HR function from the ground up
- Design HR processes, workflows, and documentation
- Act as a strategic HR partner to management
Policy & Process Development
- Draft, implement, and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook
- Create frameworks for attendance, leave, discipline, and code of conduct
Performance Management System (PMS)
- Design and implement a robust PMS aligned with business objectives
- Drive goal setting, appraisals, feedback, and performance reviews
HR Compliance & Statutory
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment, Gratuity, etc.)
- Manage audits, filings, and liaison with consultants/government bodies
Talent & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Support recruitment strategy and onboarding processes
- Handle confirmations, promotions, transfers, exits, and final settlements
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Build a positive work culture and employee engagement initiatives
- Address employee grievances and ensure smooth employee relations
HR Reporting & MIS
- Maintain HR metrics, reports, and dashboards for management review
Experience & Qualification
- Prior experience managing HR independently
- Proven exposure to setting up HR systems/functions from scratch
Education
- Full-time MBA in HR from a Grade B business school
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR compliances and labor laws
- Hands-on experience in HR operations and PMS design
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking with execution focus
