Manager Assembly to lead assembly line operations in an automotive manufacturing environment. The incumbent will be responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, cost, and delivery objectives. The role involves shop floor supervision, manpower management, process optimization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily assembly operations and achieve production targets.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and process standards.
- Monitor production KPIs, including OEE, productivity, rejection, and downtime.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and line balancing initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Optimize manpower utilization and improve shop floor efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and develop assembly operators and supervisors.
Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience in assembly operations within the automotive or auto-component industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, OEE, 5S, Kaizen, and assembly processes.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
