
Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, high-impact payments transformation projects. You will be accountable for the end-to-end management of projects related to cross-border payments enhancement and the mandatory ISO 20022 migration. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while coordinating across digital banking teams and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful closure of Payments Transformation projects.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resources in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the full project lifecycle for Cross-Border Payments initiatives and ISO 20022 migration programs.
- Coordinate work streams across business (Online/Mobile Banking), technology, operations, and compliance teams.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; develop contingency plans.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reporting.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings, provide executive updates, and ensure clear communication across all levels.
- Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Foster a collaborative environment and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering large-scale projects in the Payments domain.
- Direct experience managing Cross-Border Payments and ISO 20022 migration/implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of Payments Transformation initiatives and digital banking (Online & Mobile banking) ecosystems.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and risk management capabilities.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Clarizen).
- Prior experience in a banking or financial technology environment.
