General Description:
The proposed incumbent would be responsible for managing and driving end to end basmati rice procurement and operations with primary focus on markets. This role requires developing and sustaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners. The position will involve sourcing premium quality basmati rice, negotiating contracts, overseeing export compliance and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to international quality and regulatory standards. The incumbent will also identify new market opportunities, analyse trends and drive strategic initiatives to enhance business growth and profitability in the European region.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage basmati rice procurement for European exports markets, ensuring timely sourcing of premium quality products.
- Identify and onboard reliable suppliers offering high grade basmati rice and maintain strong client relationships.
- Develop and grow business with key European clients and importers through effective relationship management.
- Oversee end-to-end export logistics, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance and timely shipments.
- Conduct market research to analyse demand, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities within European markets.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers and European clients to achieve cost efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, food safety and quality standards for all exports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline the operations and resolve any issues.
- Track and report export performance metrics, updating management on progress and corrective actions.
- Explore new market opportunities in Europe to drive business growth and competitiveness.
