Role Overview:
Chartered Accountant with 10 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing industries. Africa experience is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scrutinize the General ledger with regard to revenue, material consumption, overheads absorbed, other expenses booked, and entries for liabilities and assets.
- Scrutinize general ledger for expense accounts other than consumption and pass entries for sharing of common expenses within the first month of the week following, including necessary JV entries in the system.
- Liaison with External Stakeholders: URA, Banks, and External Auditors.
- Controlling Fixed Assets, disposal posting, creation of internal orders, and checking depreciation schedules.
- Carry out monthly Intercompany reconciliation.
- Prepare management accounts.
- Prepare performance reports, balance sheets, and fund flow statements monthly for submission to FC/GM (Finance).
- In liaison with FC, make comparisons of results with budgeted figures, intimating plant accountants to ensure cost control.
- Coordinate with External Auditors for the audit of financials.
- Compute deferred tax from audited financials annually.
- Compute advance corporate tax and advise GM (Finance) accordingly.
- Any other duties assigned by the General Manager - Finance.
Requirements:
- Computerized accounting programs: SAP HANA S/4.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Stress management skills.
- High level of honesty, respect, and sound work ethics.
- 10-15 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in handling multiple company accounts is desirable.
