Role Overview

We are looking for a Manager - Accounts & Finance to manage end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for a fast-growing fintech organisation. The role will work closely with business, product, compliance, and leadership teams to ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and regulatory adherence in a dynamic fintech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / GAAP).

- Oversee accounting for fintech-specific transactions such as settlements, merchant payouts, escrow accounts, fees, and chargebacks.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

- Ensure compliance with RBI, NPCI, and other applicable regulatory guidelines relevant to fintech operations.

- Manage statutory compliances including GST, TDS, income tax, and regulatory filings.

- Coordinate with auditors, compliance teams, and regulators for audits, inspections, and reporting.

Controls, Reconciliations & Risk

- Strengthen internal controls around cash, settlements, and reconciliation processes.

- Drive daily/periodic bank, wallet, and nodal/escrow account reconciliations.

- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks in high-volume transaction environments.

Business Partnering & Process Improvement

- Partner with product, operations, and technology teams to support new product launches and process automation.

- Improve accounting processes through system enhancements, automation, and SOPs.

- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.

- 69 years of experience in accounting and finance, with exposure to fintech, payments, NBFC, banking, or financial services.

- Experience in high-volume transaction environments is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and regulatory reporting.

- Hands-on experience with reconciliations, settlements, escrow/nodal accounts, and payment flows.

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel; fintech platforms exposure is a plus.
