Manager - Accounts

Key Responsibilities:

Costing and Manufacturing Accounting:

- Maintain and monitor manufacturing and job work costing, including process-wise and batch- wise costing.

- Track material movement, WIP, yield, and losses across different stages of processing.

- Analyse cost variances and support management with cost insights.

- Assist in product and job profitability analysis.

Accounting and Bookkeeping:

- Maintain books of accounts in Tally, including vouchers, ledgers, inventory accounting, and reconciliations. Handle accounting for purchases, job work charges, overhead allocation, and inventory valuation.

- Support monthly and annual account closing activities.

MIS and Reporting:

- Prepare periodic MIS, cost statements, and operational summaries for management review.

- Coordinate with the Finance Head and accounting teams of other group entities for consolidated reporting.

Compliance and Audit Support:

- Support GST, income-tax, and statutory compliances from an accounting and data perspective.

- Assist during internal audits, statutory audits, and cost reviews.

Team and Coordination:

- Guide and review work of junior accounting staff.

- Act as a link between operations and finance for cost-related matters.

Skill Set and Competencies:

- Effective communication skills, enabling clear coordination with production teams, management, and external stakeholders for accurate information flow and issue resolution.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and job work accounting.

- Very good hands-on experience in Tally.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

- Ability to work with production data and reconcile operational and financial records.

- Structured thinking, attention to detail, and discipline in documentation.

- Comfortable working in a factory-linked accounting environment.
