Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager to build and operate the entire global accounting and finance function for Aadyah Aerospace group across India, North America and European entities. The successful candidate will own the day-to-day finance operations, accounting, drive monthly close, publish MIS, working capital management, support budgeting and forecasting, coordinate global consolidation and work closely with the CFO and management on business and financial decision-making. The role offers significant exposure to global operations, project-based - engineering finance and business decision-making, with the opportunity to grow into a broader finance leadership role.

Role & responsibilities:

- Own day-to-day accounting and finance function for the group, ensuring books and financial records are accurate, complete and up to date.

- Manage the monthly financial close, including reconciliations, review of key accounts and timely closure of books.

- Prepare consolidated financials consolidating the various global subsidiaries.

- Prepare and publish monthly MIS, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, key financial schedules and relevant business KPIs.

- Manage the complete billing and invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing in line with contracts, purchase orders, milestones and deliverables.

- Own accounts receivable and collections, monitor ageing, follow up on outstanding receivables and escalate collection risks.

- Manage accounts payable and vendor payments, ensuring accurate, timely and appropriately approved payments while maintaining visibility of outstanding payables.

- Manage banking and cash operations, including bank reconciliations, cash balances, banking transactions and short-term liquidity requirements.

- Coordinate monthly payroll processing, ensuring accurate inputs, timely processing and salary payments in coordination with HR and relevant external partners.

- Drive working capital management, with regular monitoring of receivables, payables, cash and inventory, and identify opportunities to improve cash conversion.

- Prepare and maintain cash-flow forecasts, providing management with visibility of expected cash inflows, outflows and funding requirements.

- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including collection of inputs, consolidation, analysis and tracking of actual performance against budget.

- Analyse financial performance and provide variance analysis and actionable insights to the CFO and founders to support business decision-making.

- Review project financial tracking, including project revenues, costs, budgets, inventory/WIP and profitability, and provide visibility into project margins, cost overruns and key financial risks.

- Support project and contract economics, including costing of materials, labour, subcontracting and other direct/indirect costs, and develop relevant project KPIs and analysis.

- Ensure timely and accurate statutory and regulatory compliance, including GST, TDS, payroll-related and other compliance, in coordination with external advisors where required.

- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, bankers and other external stakeholders, and ensure timely provision of information and resolution of finance-related matters.

- Establish, maintain and improve finance processes, internal controls and documentation.

- Support ERP implementation, process automation and financial-system enhancements to build a scalable finance function.

- Identify gaps in existing processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications:

- CA / CMA or equivalent qualification.

- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a high-growth startup, technology, manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, EPC or other project-based environment.

- Strong understanding of financial accounting and financial reporting.

- Experience working with multiple entities and/or international operations.

- Hands-on experience with MIS, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.

- Ability to independently manage monthly close and management reporting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.

- Strong communication and coordination skills.
