Description:

- The Assistant Manager Warehouse Operations will oversee and manage day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations, efficient inventory management, timely dispatch and receipt of goods, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

- The role requires strong organizational, leadership, and analytical skills to optimize warehouse processes and lead a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.

- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure timely movement of goods.

- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational efficiency and maintain high performance standards.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations within the warehouse.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize errors.

- Manage KPIs and generate reports on warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment.

- Handle escalations, resolve operational issues, and maintain smooth workflow.

- Liaise with external vendors, transporters, and service providers as required.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.

- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and MS Office Suite.

- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

- Relevant certifications in warehouse management or logistics are a plus.

Experience:

- 5-8 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably with experience in team management and process improvement.
