Job Description:
Responsible to strategically partner with the Retail units to understand their technology needs for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, implementation, and relationship management
Strategic Partnering:
- Collaborate with Retail Business Leaders to understand the units business plan and strategic goals for the financial year
- Design and develop IT plans by translating the business priorities into IT priorities. Assist in defining policies and processes that support the people strategy and objectives
- Work closely with the Retail Business Leaders to understand their unique challenges and assist in developing appropriate IT solutions
- Determine whether the Retail business unit has the right IT capabilities/solutions in order to meet future business requirements based on inputs from Business leaders
Functional Delivery:
- Oversee the launch of IT solutions and lead the implementation of IT solution roadmaps for the Retail unit to ensure successful introductions
- Implement training sessions for end users for them to understand how to use these new technology/solutions and proactively resolve any grievances they may encounter
- Monitor the adherence to the IT policies and guidelines set by the top management in the team to maintain standardization across the organisation
- Spearhead IT related projects within the Retail Business unit and see them to completion to increase the efficiency of the business unit
- Periodically monitor the efficiency of the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead change management strategy and initiatives to minimize disruption to the Retail business and improve end user experience as technology initiatives are executed.
- Manage end to end implementation of IT related activities (such as licensing, contracts with dealers, user records, software installation, upgradation, bug fixing etc.) along with managing exceptions which cannot be resolved by IT Support to prevent any disruption to business
- Support the business applications for Retail operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new or revised technology, specifically working on capability enablement in the ERP systems.
- Serve as an advocate for IT within the Retail business to ensure the organization realizes the full value of its investments and strategic initiatives and remains secure at all times.
- Maintain all necessary documentation and adhere to change control policies, procedures as well as any system or software development or project management lifecycle methodologies.
- Research and implement new technology solutions for retail operations.
- Manage and support automated machines used in retail environments.
- Oversee payment systems and vendor payments.
- Deliver comprehensive omni-channel support, including CRM, clientele management, endless aisle, and mobile touch solutions.
- Provide IT support for both India and International operations.
SOP/Technology:
- Conduct thorough reviews of technology related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring alignment with organizational standards and requirements by engaging in discussions with department heads.
- Oversee the implementation and functionality of necessary technologies, monitoring their performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Take proactive corrective actions to address any technology-related issues, ensuring optimal operation and continuous improvement of technological systems.
