Mainframe Delivery Lead - BFSI

Role Overview:

As a Mainframe Delivery Lead, you will be at the forefront of managing and delivering critical mainframe solutions for our clients. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing project execution, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality services. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. This role directly impacts our clients' business operations by ensuring the stability, efficiency, and reliability of their core mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of mainframe projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards for our clients.

- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution, to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

- Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and projects on track.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of mainframe solutions.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery processes, reduce costs, and improve client satisfaction.

- Monitor project performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex mainframe projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.

- Proven expertise in vendor management, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

- Excellent IT project management skills, including experience with project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

- Strong understanding of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
