Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Head with strong exposure to the Semiconductor and VLSI domain. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end HR operations and partner closely with leadership to drive organizational growth, technical talent acquisition, and people excellence in a fast-paced engineering-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR & Leadership:
- Act as a strategic HR partner to senior management and leadership teams
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
- Build scalable HR processes suitable for a growing Semiconductor/VLSI organization
- Establish and promote a strong organizational culture and employer brand
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
- Lead complete recruitment lifecycle for technical and non-technical roles
- Drive hiring for niche roles in VLSI Design, Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Analog/Mixed Signal, Embedded, etc.
- Manage internal recruiters, external recruiters, and staffing vendors
- Forecast manpower requirements and optimize hiring timelines and costs
Learning & Development (L&D):
- Design and implement technical and behavioral training programs
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify skill gaps in advanced semiconductor technologies
- Drive leadership development, succession planning, and employee upskilling initiatives
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, payroll coordination, attendance, leave management, and exits
- Ensure statutory and labor law compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, etc.)
- Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs
Performance & Employee Engagement:
- Drive performance management systems (OKRs/KPIs/Appraisals)
- Handle employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary actions
- Implement engagement initiatives to improve retention and workplace satisfaction
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage HR vendors related to recruitment, payroll, training, compliance, and benefits
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service quality and cost optimization
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / MSW in Human Resources or equivalent qualification
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with mandatory experience in Semiconductor / VLSI industry
- Strong understanding of technical roles and industry hiring challenges
- Hands-on expertise across all HR functions (Operations, Recruitment, L&D, ER, Compliance)
- Proven experience managing teams and external vendors
