The Quality Head is responsible for driving the Quality culture at Cosma Pune division. His major role would include developing and implementing the overall Quality strategy for the division. He will lead the quality team in continuous improvement of product and process quality within the division. Also be the key person for liasoning with the customers on all Quality related matters. Will set systems and processes and ensure adherence to various Quality Management systems adopted by the division. - Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in accordance with the overall company objectives and goals. - Promotes quality culture and performance improvement throughout the organization. - Sets QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved. - Responsible for drawing the department Budgets in line with business requirements and adherence to same. - Assesses suppliers' and own company's product specifications and customer requirements. - Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers. - Ensures compliance with national and international standards and legislation on Quality. - Considers the application of environmental and health/safety standards. - Establishes standards and clearly defined quality methods. - Defines quality procedures in conjunction with Operations and Engineering. - Sets up and maintains controls and documentation. - Identifies relevant quality-related training needs for the organization. - Collates and analyzes performance data and charts against defined parameter. - Ensures tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary. - Supervises technical personnel in carrying out tests, measurements and checks. - Writes technical and management system reports. - Brings together different disciplines as cross-functional teams and drives the group to plan, formulate and agree to comprehensive quality procedures. - Works with customers' auditors and ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications. - Establishes standards of service for customers or clients. - Monitors performance through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. - Strengthens Automotive Management System on the preventive and predictive side based on Cosma's Operating Systems. - Works with other divisions in a unified effort for the benefit of an organization. - Benchmarks other divisions and organizations to ensure continuous improvement based on best practice internally and externally - Monitors data from measurement devices, especially from CMM and checking fixtures and initiates corrective action based on data analysis leading cross-functional improvement teams. - Documents and monitors internal and external quality concerns and maintains the database for follow-up. - Heads the 8d process - Drives the Layered Process Audits as required
