Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Relationship Manager to join our Vadodara team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients-ensuring high levels of satisfaction, identifying opportunities for cross-sell or up-sell, and serving as the key point of contact for client needs. The candidate must bring a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in relationship management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate independently and proactively in a competitive market environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage relationships with a designated portfolio of clients, ensuring exemplary service and retention.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients: understand their needs, respond to queries, resolve issues, and anticipate future requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts (cross-sell, up-sell) and bring in new clients as needed.
- Prepare and present periodic business reviews and client reports, showing portfolio performance, opportunities, and risk areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, operations, credit/risk, service delivery) to ensure smooth onboarding, timely servicing and fulfilment of client requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes, and provide feedback or recommendations to leadership for service or product enhancements.
- Meet or exceed defined KPIs: e.g., client retention rate, new business targets, cross-sell ratio, growth of portfolio value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements in all client interactions.
- Participate in networking events, industry forums or client engagements to raise the organisation's profile and enhance relationships.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of proven experience in Relationship Management (preferably in Banking, Financial Services, Wealth Management or Corporate Client servicing).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce or related field. A postgraduate qualification (MBA) is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client portfolios, identify growth opportunities and deliver results.
