Magma General Insurance - National Manager - Marine Underwriting

Underwriting Portfolio Management -

- Managing Marine portfolio of the Company with the objective of achieving premium, loss ratios, costs etc. as per the operating plan.

- Developing and maintaining Underwriting guidelines/SOPs/ Standard documentation etc. with respect to Marine underwriting as per the Underwriting Policy of the Company.

- Responsible for Audit, Regulatory and Compliance related aspects of Marine line of business.

Products & Systems -

- Product development / filing etc. with respect to Marine line of business.

- System/IT related developments / Product automation related to Marine line of business.

- Engaging with various other internal departments such as Operations/ Reinsurance/ IT/ Sales/ Marketing/Legal & Compliance/Audit/F&A/Claims etc. with respect to work pertaining to underwriting.

Marine underwriting -

- Effectively managing Risk selection/Quotations/Policy Servicing/Reinsurance aspects under Marine line of business.

- Responsible for maintaining service parameters related to Marine underwriting such as underwriting TATs, RFQs - conversions, renewal retention etc.

- Engaging with sales and distribution teams/clients etc. with respect to underwriting services/business development.

- Providing training and support to various internal and external customers related to Products, underwriting, risk etc.

- Effectively managing corporate and zonal underwriting teams
