Team Lead - Market Research & Analytics About Procurement Knowledge Centre: Knowledge Centre empowers global procurement community across Maersk brands with insights on internal data (Data Analytics) and external market variables (Market Research) required to drive business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of professionals and simple projects across a wide range of procurement areas - Inspire and coach the team to maximize their potential - Lead-by-example and enable the development of new competencies in team - Raise the standards of quality & scalability of outputs, practice strong ownership of process, timeliness, communication and continuously improve the value proposition of Market Research vertical of Knowledge Center - in line with business objectives. - Build and enhance own role to become a key influencer on market intel within Maersk - Lead stakeholder engagement to translate evolving business needs into MR-enabled solutions - Combine requirements from diverse stakeholders to develop scalable wholesome solutions - Understand procurement & supply chain risks, key influencers for procurement projects and interpret indicators of macro-economic, industry and company condition - Build internal capabilities on delivering insights instead of data - Deliver digestible and actionable insights on categories, commodities, geographies, industries, suppliers, sustainability and other levers and value drivers for procurement at a global level across - Apply latest methods of conducting market research and derive insights from market data using data tools like MS excel wherever necessary - Evaluate and add sources, subscriptions and databases needed to enhance internal capabilities - Capability to visualize automation possibilities Who are we looking for: - Engineer or MBA with 8+ years of experience in a role focussing on supplier or customer centric market research - Strong people leadership skills, experience of leading a team for 3+ years - Entrepreneurial approach to develop new competencies in team and business with stakeholders - Problem solving skills and strategic mindset - Ability to translate business requirement into research and data use cases - Experienced in overseeing functional inputs during lifecycle of product or service - Experienced in new product or service development and supplier scouting - Proven track record of taking initiatives and delivering process or product enhancement - Proficient in Market Research and drawing meaningful inferences through - Proficient in analysing large data sets on Excel and presenting conclusions using data visualization - Experience of working in an environment with sharp analytical requirements, open to work with ambiguities, communicate difficulties and derive possible solutions - Knowledge of categories pertaining to ocean or landside logistics will be an added advantage
