Leads, directs and controls the activities of a moderately sized operational unit. Manages the business so that it achieves its financial and operating objectives, as set by the overall corporate business plan. PURPOSE : - Represent APMT Pipavav to various Government and Industry bodies for promoting and protecting its interest within compliance framework of AP Moller Maersk Group. - Proactive engagement with Gujarat Maritime Board, Ports & Transport Department Gujarat, GIDB, Government of Gujarat and other state and central level stakeholders to drive extension of the Concession Agreement, Port led industrial development, Trade and overall Port development . - Actively engage and manage external stakeholders. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation) I. Stakeholder Management within Gujarat - Stakeholders. GMBb. State Government. Chief Minister office ii. Chief Secretary iii. Additional Chief Secretary, P&Tc. Department of Port and Transported. Gujarat Infrastructure Development Boarded. Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation. Gujarat State Chambers of Commerce and Industries. Police Establishment, Home department and Revenue Department h. Chief Commissioner of Customs and other Customs formation - Ahmedabad and Jamnagar - Build a dynamic stakeholder Mapping record of decision makers and influencers - Proactively engage with the stakeholders, representing GPPL contribution to the trade and society - Manage relationships with Government agencies at all levels within APMT Compliance framework and seek information relevant to GPPL - Address GPPL concerns and work with Stakeholders for amicable solutions. - Lobby with Government on introduction of new policy and changes in existing policy - Seek regular updates on the developments in State Government and GMB which has potential impact to GPPL - Getting appointments with Bureaucrats and authorities for GPPL SMT as and when required - Represent GPPL in Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industries and seek business leads - Coordinate with Head of Communications for media coverage on relevant matters of the company. - Liaise with Group Public Affairs department on directives and group initiatives related to India and Gujarat. - Revert to Management on any opportunity arising in Business expansions with regards to port projects, DFC, ecosystem expansions near Pipavav and capacity building within Port sector II. Concession Extension - Proactively engage with Gujarat Maritime Board, Ports & Transport Department Gujarat, GIDB, Government of Gujarat and other State and Central level stakeholders to drive extension of the Concession Agreement - Clarify and document the Concession extension process, including investment requirements for the extended period - Liaise with GMB to understand their expectations and new terms and conditions of the extended concession agreement. - Enable GPPL to reach in a strong negotiation position for the Concession Extension - Determine concession extension timelines III. Compliances - Coordinate with internal owners and GMB to ensure compliance of the Concession Agreement and Supplementary Concession Agreement signed with GMB. - Submission of letters, responses, application, and representations on behalf of the company to GMB / other Government agencies in Gujarat and follow-up for their response. - Guide GPPL business teams on seeking approvals on various projects from GMB and coordinate for timely approvals. - Share the relevant reports, data, and business update to GMB - To advise various internal stakeholders on making compliances under various permissions issued by Government Authorities. Seek alignment with Company Policy of Maersk in India on any pitifully sensitive subjects which may arise in discussions with Government stake holders.
