Key Responsibilities - Macroeconomic Review: Perform macro-economic analysis impacting international trade, which helps determine future business direction and provides a view independent of Trade and Marketing. - Market Share: Ensure full visibility on market share developments versus targets within a standard framework and analyse key drivers for market developments. - Market Mapping - Standard report production - Tender Optimisation: Support the region FP&A team in bringing bring full visibility on customer profitability and tender-mix across the WCA areas and across customers within UAE area. Present recommendations to improve overall profitability. - Business Cases: Ensure that complete business cases are in place for significant changes such as new business, feeder deployment, port coverage, new landside products, with the responsible parties (mostly LOC) and that robust benefit tracking is in place - Revenue / profit optimization projects: Conduct deep-dives on chronic revenue application gaps or profit maximization opportunities for local products and services, recommend actions to drive improvements and quantify impact of those actions. - Cost improvement projects: Conduct deep-dives on chronic cost recovery gaps or optimization opportunities in coordination with LOC FBPs, recommend actions to drive improvements and quantify impact of those actions. - Area business strategy: Support target setting and quarterly RoFo process for the area to ensure that both short- and long-term strategic priorities are catered for. - Best practices: Share and ensure local adoption of best practises across Areas, Regions and Centre including cross-regional work assignments and acting as a focal point for Region and Centre standardization initiatives. - Working with Area and Regional peer group as well as GSC colleagues to deliver robust analytical support, creative thought and shared thinking. Who we are looking for - Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics [depending on the local market]. - Prior experience (minimum 7+ years post qualification experience) within a business partnering environment, working as part of a business leadership team or in a consulting firm - Experience of working within a Sales, Product or Pricing or business development environment would be a clear advantage - Proven ability to initiate business improvement projects, influence without authority and confidently impact decision making with the area and region leadership.
