Mactores - Technical Project Manager

This is not a typical Project Manager role. This role is for Project management professionals who have led cloud or data engineering projects end-to-end, worked on AWS, and can run sprints, standups, and retrospectives.

What you will do:

- Build the project plan in Smartsheet from the Solutions Architect's scope of work.

- Track scope, hours, and budget in real time.

- Flag burn-rate risk early and push back on scope creep with data.

- Maintain a live risk register and RAID log.

- Run crisp daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

- Remove sprint blockers personally.

- Translate technical progress into business language for the customer.

- Produce weekly customer status updates and own customer escalations end-to-end.

- Onboard engineers on customer systems and documentation standards.

- Negotiate scope changes with data and produce formal change requests.

What we are looking for:

- 3+ years of delivery experience on cloud engineering or data engineering projects.

- 3+ years as a Project Manager working with customers in US timezones.

- Hands-on fluency with Smartsheet, Jira/Confluence, and Clockify.

- Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

- Demonstrated experience managing at least one fixed-bid project end-to-end.

- Strong understanding of Agile delivery metrics such as velocity and burndown.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience managing Data Lake projects on AWS.

- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.

- Managing Jira Projects certification.

- Smartsheet certification.
