Established in 1989, we are engaged in developing, manufacturing, and marketing a wide range of formulations across several major therapeutic areas including anti-infectives, cardiovascular, anti-diabetic, dermatology, and hormone treatment.

We develop, manufacture, and globally distribute a broad range of pharmaceutical products across therapies in multiple dosage forms such as solid orals, liquid orals, topical formulations, injectables (Dry Powder) metered dose inhalers and dry powder inhalers.

Job Summary :

- The Head of Marketing - Gastro Therapy will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic marketing roadmap for the entire gastroenterology portfolio. This role will involve driving brand growth, increasing market share, and maximizing profitability through innovative, data-driven marketing strategies. The position will lead a team of brand managers, aligning sales forces, and fostering strong KOL (Key Opinion Leader) relationships to strengthen the company's presence in the chronic and acute GI markets.


- This role will report to the Business Unit Head / Cluster Head.


- This role will be based out of Head Office located at Mumbai H.Q

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Marketing & Brand Management :

- Develop and implement annual, long-term brand strategies, therapeutic area roadmaps, and P&L (Profit and Loss) management.


- Drive product lifecycle management, from new product identification and launch planning to sustaining mature brands.


- Define brand positioning, segmentation, and messaging targeting key healthcare professionals (HCPs) such as gastroenterologists and physicians.


- Ensure brand visibility and competitive advantage by analyzing market trends (secondary, primary, and prescription trends) and competitor activity.

2. Team Leadership & Development :

- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Product Managers and Group Product Managers, setting clear performance goals.


- Foster a high-performance, compliant, and collaborative culture within the marketing team.


- Identify training needs to enhance the strategic thinking and analytical capabilities of the team.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Field Force Alignment :

- Work closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Training, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.


- Develop field promotional tools, detailing aids, and digital materials to empower the sales force, ensuring high-quality engagement with HCPs.


- Build strong relationships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to gain insights and drive advocacy.

4. Business Intelligence & Compliance :

- Own the therapy budget, including marketing expenditure (A&P), and monitor ROI for campaigns.


- Ensure all marketing activities comply with ethical marketing practices, internal SOPs, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., in India, the UCPMP code).


- Leverage patient journey insights to create patient-centric marketing approaches.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Education : Graduate in Science/Pharmacy with a full-time MBA in Marketing preferred.


- Experience: 15 - 20 years in pharmaceutical marketing, with substantial experience in leading Gastro or relevant specialty therapies.


- Track Record: Proven success in launching new products and managing large, high-performing teams.


- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry (or relevant region), advanced understanding of GI diseases, data analytics (AWACS/IQVIA), and digital marketing tools.

- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L and market access strategies.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

- Achievement of Sales, Growth, and Profitability targets for the GI portfolio.


- Increase in Market Share and Brand Equity.


- Effective launch of new products.


- Field Force Effectiveness
