
1. Smart Manufacturing & Dark Factory Roadmap:
- Own the Group-wide Dark Factory classification and progression roadmap (Level 0 - Level 5) across 42 manufacturing plants.
- Lead deployment of MES/MOM for real-time production visibility, quality traceability, and OEE optimization.
- Drive IIoT edge architecture, gateway selection, machine connectivity, protocol normalisation (OPC-UA, MQTT), and data historians.
- Define and govern the Operational Excellence Command Centre (OECC), integrating plant KPIs, predictive maintenance, and energy intelligence into a unified command layer.
- Establish AI/ML-powered quality defect detection (vision AI, statistical SPC) at critical lighting and component assembly lines.
- Champion lean-digital convergence: kaizen + digital twin + AI.
2. Automotive Technology Products, Services & Solutions:
- Build digital product capabilities for Lumax's telematics and connected vehicle offerings: OBD, CAN-bus data, remote diagnostics, OTA update readiness.
- Define the data and software architecture underpinning SDV-ready components: embedded ECU firmware lifecycle, AUTOSAR alignment, functional safety (ISO 26262) interfaces.
- Partner with BD and product teams to shape go-to-market for digital-value-added solutions: fleet telematics data services, predictive component health monitoring, connected lighting systems.
- Ensure bi-directional tech transfer and governance alignment with JV partners.
- Track and respond to OEM digital procurement mandates: ASPICE compliance, cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and software bill of materials (SBOM) readiness.
3. Enterprise AI & Data Intelligence:
- Drive AI use case identification, prioritisation (5x5 ROI-feasibility matrix), and deployment at scale across manufacturing and product domains.
- Champion GenAI adoption across engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain functions.
- Build plant-level data observability, data contracts, and data product thinking across OT/IT convergence stacks.
- Govern responsible AI deployment within the Lumax defined governance framework.
4. Digital Program Delivery & Transformation Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performance Digital Manufacturing & Connected Technologies Centre of Excellence (CoE): hiring, developing, and retaining rare OT+IT hybrid talent.
- Own the annual digital capex and opex portfolio for manufacturing technology: business case creation, vendor governance, milestone tracking.
- Drive SAP S/4HANA and PP/QM module optimization for manufacturing ensuring ERP is a live system of record, not a lagging ledger.
- Partner with HR and plant operations to lead the people change management agenda upskilling frontline workers, redefining roles, and ensuring the social contract for automation is honoured.
- Report programme status, risks, and value realisation to Group CDIO through structured governance cadences.
5. Ecosystem & Strategic Partnerships:
- Manage strategic relationships with technology partners: Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Bosch Rexroth, PTC, Dassault Systemes, AWS/Azure industrial IoT suites.
- Engage with ACMA, CII Industry 4.0 forums, NASSCOM DeepTech, and Automotive Mission Plan 2.0 working groups.
- Drive co-innovation with Lumax's JV technology partners to leapfrog capability gaps as well as with our R&D teams.
- Identify and evaluate startup/scaleup partnerships through Lumax's innovation radar: PoC to production pathway.
