
Role Overview:
The Learning and Development Consultant facilitates structured learning experiences that build job-critical skills and support consistent performance outcomes for business professionals.
Total Experience: 8 - 13 years
This role applies adult learning principles to instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning formats, partnering with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and business leaders to ensure learning objectives translate into on-the-job capability.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning sessions aligned to defined learning objectives and performance standards.
- Coordinate and facilitate end-to-end blended learning experiences by connecting pre-work, live instruction, and post-session practice.
- Deliver new-hire onboarding programs and ongoing learning initiatives that support role readiness and skill progression.
- Apply adult learning principles to support understanding, practice, and skill transfer in an operational environment.
- Lead structured skill practice, role-play, and application activities aligned to job expectations.
- Provide targeted feedback and reinforcement based on observed learner performance and established criteria.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to share learner insights and contribute to continuous improvement of learning delivery.
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure curriculum reflects current processes, systems, and expectations.
- Review learning effectiveness indicators and adjust facilitation approaches as needed.
- Maintain readiness on content, systems, and business updates to ensure learning experiences remain accurate and relevant.
- Foster a professional, inclusive learning environment that supports participation, accountability, and growth.
- Use AI-enabled tools and technologies, as appropriate, to enhance facilitation effectiveness.
- Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Communication, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 8 years of experience facilitating structured learning experiences for adult learners, including instructor-led and virtual delivery.
- Experience delivering learning as a primary responsibility.

- Communication and active listening: Communicate concepts clearly, check for understanding, and encourage purposeful learner interaction.
- Collaboration and partnership: Work effectively with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency: Facilitate in virtual environments and navigate learning management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in learning facilitation, training delivery, or learning and development.
- Experience supporting call center, service, or other operational environments.
- Exposure to financial services, regulatory, or compliance-based training.
- Training or facilitation certifications (ATD, CPTM, or similar).
- FINRA licensing (SIE, Series 7, or similar).
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong BFSI/financial services experience, preferably with exposure to operations or call-centre environments.
- Proven experience in training and knowledge transfer.
- Ability to conduct offline, online and virtual training programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work hands-on and independently from day one.
- Candidates with FINRA licensing/certification or relevant knowledge would be preferred, though this is not mandatory.
