Job Summary:  This position oversees technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that support integrated and sustainable designs for infrastructure systems across multiple technical domains or platforms.  The Director, Infrastructure Engineering is also responsible for directing the implementation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure systems for multiple domain(s) and/or platform(s) to ensure successful deployment and operation.   This individual directs team(s) through all system development lifecycle phases and provides insight and recommendations to inform the ongoing strategy for health and care of assigned domain(s) and/or platform(s).  Essential and Core Responsibilities:   - Directs the long-term strategy for IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture across multiple enterprise systems by assessing the implications of IT business strategies on infrastructure capabilities; interfacing with senior leaders on assigned business and technology-related issues to understand short and long-term business needs; building and maintaining partnerships with IT business leaders to ensure technology solutions support integrated business strategies; anticipating IT industry directions, reviewing benchmarking results, and making recommendations to support current and future infrastructure needs and projects to senior IT leadership; directing the development of capital and expense budgets for the development, enhancement, and/or maintenance of designated technologies  - Directs and oversees technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that support integrated and sustainable designs for infrastructure systems across multiple technical domains or platforms by building and maintaining partnerships with cross-functional leadership to understand business needs and functional specifications; fostering team interactions with architects and software engineers to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable system designs; serving as an escalation point for complex or unresolved issues related to requirements translation; providing expertise and recommendations to others within the organization on matters of technological advancement, market trends, and new technologies to support the business strategy  Oversees the technical direction for the development and modification of infrastructure solutions within various computing environments across multiple business functions by developing the vision for infrastructure needs and initiatives for assigned domain(s) and/or platform(s); leveraging partnerships with various IT Teams (e.g., database, operations, technical support) throughout system development and implementation to ensure system designs adhere to company standards; providing insight and guidance, and resolving escalated issues throughout the development of hardware and software configurations and throughout the preparation of system components for installation to the infrastructure  - Directs the implementation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure systems for multiple domain(s) and/or platform(s) to ensure successful deployment and operation by overseeing the distribution of packages to enable successful rollout of new or upgraded systems; building and leveraging partnerships with IT teams (e.g., Operations, Solutions, Architecture, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts) and key business partners to troubleshoot systems; ensuring the provision of post-implementation support to make system enhancements as needed; directing the execution of action plans to address infrastructure system performance issues  - Directs team(s) through all system development lifecycle phases by ensuring that teams understand and adhere to company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls; ensuring that team members are trained in system development lifecycle methodologies, models, and processes; reviewing and verifying resource estimates for technical design and testing efforts; overseeing the development and/or ensuring adherence to system support plans, schedules, assignments, and budgets for complex, inter-dependent project components; selecting and managing relationships with and key vendor partners; overseeing the review and approval process for team deliverables; ensuring the delivery of status reports; anticipating and mitigating system risks; reviewing and leveraging key metrics to promote operational health  - Provides insight and recommendations to inform the ongoing strategy for health and care of assigned domain(s) and/or platform(s) by identifying and maintaining IT and business-level service attributes for associated technologies; leveraging service-level attributes to perform system assessments; determining where reasonable returns on investment (ROI) can be made in terms of system health
