Job Title: Head of HR Operations (HROps) Location: Remote About Us: We're a high-growth, mission-driven startup backed by top investors, and we're building something bold and impactful. As we scale rapidly, building a strong, scalable, and people-first HR backbone is absolutely critical. We're on the lookout for a sharp, structured, and people-obsessed Head of HR Operations, preferably from India's top HR schools (IIMs, XLRI, TISS, etc.), who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to build from scratch. This role is a mix of systems thinking, compliance expertise, and hands-on hustle-perfect for someone who wants to create real impact. What You'll Do: - Build from the Ground Up: Establish lean, scalable HR processes that power the entire employee journey-from onboarding to offboarding. - HR Systems & Automation: Lead the implementation and management of our HR tech stack (e.g., Keka, Darwinbox, Zoho, or international tools like BambooHR, Deel, etc.). - Own Compliance & Governance: Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, regulations, and support any internal/external audits. - People Ops Excellence: Manage payroll, employee records, leave & attendance, benefits administration, and HR policy frameworks. - Data & Analytics: Create dashboards to track key people metrics, support workforce planning, and drive data-informed decisions. - Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with finance, legal, tech, and leadership teams to align people operations with business strategy. - Scale HR with the Org: Set up systems that don't just work now, but grow with us-from 50 to 500+ employees. What We're Looking For: - Education: MBA/PGDM in HR from top-tier institutes like XLRI, TISS, IIMs, MDI, SCMHRD, etc. (mandatory) - Experience: 5-12 years in HR operations or shared services, with 3+ years in a leadership role in a startup or high-growth company. - Strong understanding of Indian labor law, HR compliance frameworks, and statutory processes. - Experience with HR technology implementation and process design. - Analytical and process-oriented mindset with hands-on experience in setting up workflows and automation. - Hustler attitude-you're comfortable with ambiguity, have strong ownership, and love getting things done.
