Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Sales Leadership: Lead and manage the entire digital ad sales function for the South India region, taking full ownership of revenue targets and market share expansion.
- Team Building & Mentorship: Recruit, build, mentor, and manage a high-performing regional digital ad sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous development.
- Revenue Generation Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive revenue generation strategies with a strong focus on various monetization models, including CPM (Cost Per Mille), CPC (Cost Per Click), and CPL (Cost Per Lead).
- Client Relationship Management: Establish, nurture, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key advertisers, media agencies, and strategic media partners across South India.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our client base and revenue pipelines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and operations teams to shape innovative ad offerings that align with user needs, market trends, and advertiser objectives.
- Solution Creation & Presentation: Create, package, and present compelling and customized digital media solutions that directly address client objectives and demonstrate clear ROI.
- Performance Optimization: Leverage data and performance analytics extensively to optimize ongoing campaigns, ensure client satisfaction, and maximize revenue.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and emerging trends in digital media and advertising technology, providing actionable insights to leadership.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in digital media ad sales, with at least 4 years in a progressive leadership or managerial role.
- Prior experience in digital-first or new-age tech/media companies is mandatory.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets in digital advertising.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the digital ad ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, performance marketing, brand-led campaigns, and various ad formats.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels.
- Strong existing network across advertisers and media agencies in South India is essential.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e. , Salesforce) and various data analytics platforms (e. , Google Analytics, advertising platforms' dashboards).
