Logistics Manager - FMCG - IIM/NIT/SP Jain/Welingkar

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day warehouse receiving, storage, distribution, and dispatch operations.

- Ensure optimum warehouse space utilization and maintain inventory accuracy.

- Coordinate transportation planning, route optimization, and shipment tracking.

- Manage relationships with transporters, logistics partners, and vendors.

- Monitor OTIF, delivery timelines, logistics costs, and operational KPIs.

- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs.

- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, statutory, and operational requirements.

- Support inventory cycle counts and resolve stock discrepancies.

- Use WMS/TMS and supply chain data to improve operational performance.

- Lead and coordinate warehouse and transportation teams.

- Handle unforeseen operational challenges and ensure timely resolution.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations.

Requirements:

- 2 - 3 years of experience in Logistics, Warehouse, Transportation, or Supply Chain Operations.

- Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.

- Experience in warehouse and transportation management.

- Knowledge of WMS and TMS.

- Strong understanding of inventory management and logistics processes.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and team management skills.

- Candidates from FMCG, Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, or D2C industries will be preferred.

- Candidates from Tier 1/2 institutes such as NITs, IIMs, SP Jain, Welingkar, etc. will be preferred.
