Logistics & Custom Compliance Role

- Own compliance under the Customs Act, 1962, Baggage Rules, bonded warehouse regulations, and applicable CBIC circulars for duty-free retail operations.

- Oversee bonded warehousing operations, including bond execution/renewal, monthly/annual returns,consumption records, and liaison with Jurisdictional Customs.

- Ensure robust SOPs for import documentation (invoice, packing list, AWB, Bill of Entry, BOE amendments), HSN classification, valuation, Incoterms- 2020, and record-keeping.

- Manage stock issuance to stores, inter-store transfers, and reverse logistics (returns, damages, expiries, destruction) in compliance with customs norms.

- Steer Customs audits, surprise checks, and periodic reconciliations; close NCs/CAPAs on time.

- Manage AEO (if applicable), ICEGATE/EDI submissions, and relationships with custodians/airport operators.

- Lead inbound planning from global vendors to Indian airports, optimizing costs, transit times, and reliability (air/sea where used).

- Run 3PL, freight forwarder, and customs broker performance-SLAs, rate cards, QBRs, and penalty/bonu mechanisms.

- Ensure accurate and timely GRN, bond register, and system posting aligned to physical movements.

- Orchestrate returns, recalls, and destruction as per customs protocols with complete documentation and witness procedures.

- WMS/ERP/TMS utilization (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA/Blue Yonder) and ICEGATE integrations

- Build dashboards on lead times, dwell time, landed cost, fill rate, on-time in-full (OTIF), and customs clearance SLA.
