Role Summary
As a Logistics Analyst (SME), you will act as a bridge between logistics operations and AI-driven product development. Your role involves providing analytical insights, documenting processes, and validating data to support automation and intelligence solutions for the logistics industry. Your expertise in logistics data, shipment documentation, and vendor processes will guide product teams in building impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & Workflow Analysis:
- Analyze end-to-end logistics workflows, including procurement, shipments, warehousing, and distribution.
- Review and classify logistics documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, customs filings, and receipts.
- Identify bottlenecks where automation can reduce errors and improve speed.
Product Collaboration:
- Support product and engineering teams with logistics data requirements.
- Validate AI model outputs against industry-standard documents and formats.
- Provide input on exception handling, workflow rules, and compliance logic.
Client & Use Case Support:
- Assist in client discussions by analyzing logistics pain points.
- Provide sample datasets and workflow maps for prototypes and demos.
- Translate operational issues into actionable product requirements.
Knowledge Contributions:
- Document logistics workflows, KPIs, and process benchmarks.
- Contribute insights to sales, product, and marketing knowledge bases.
- Stay updated on industry trends, digitization efforts, and compliance changes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations.
- Strong knowledge of logistics documents and workflows (e.g., bills of lading, vendor invoices, customs documentation).
- Familiarity with ERP/SCM systems and logistics tracking tools.
- Analytical mindset with ability to map processes and identify gaps.
- Exposure to compliance workflows and international trade regulations is a plus.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
