Description:
- We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations within a specified territory.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing sales teams, driving business growth, building strong channel/retail relationships, expanding market presence, and achieving revenue targets.
- This role requires strategic planning, sales forecasting, relationship management, and continuous performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute area-wise sales plans to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
- Identify new markets, customer segments and growth opportunities within the assigned region.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective measures where needed.
Business Development:
- Drive new customer acquisition through channel partnerships, corporate clients, distributors, dealers, and retail networks.
- Lead strategic initiatives to increase brand presence and product penetration.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research to track business trends.
Team Management & Leadership:
- Manage, guide and motivate a team of Sales Executives/Representatives to achieve sales goals.
- Set sales targets, track progress, conduct field visits and performance reviews.
- Provide training, mentorship, product knowledge, and sales coaching to team members.
Client & Channel Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, channel partners, and distributors.
- Ensure timely resolution of channel/customer issues and support escalations.
- Negotiate and finalize pricing, agreements, and business terms.
Operational & Process Management:
- Track sales pipeline, lead flow, and closure ratios on CRM tools.
- Ensure proper documentation, order processing, and timely payment collection.
- Implement sales SOPs, reporting cadence, and governance mechanisms for smooth operations.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare periodic sales reports, dashboards, performance metrics, and business review presentations.
- Analyze sales data to identify improvement areas and drive strategic actions.
- Forecast demand and submit rolling sales projections for inventory planning.
Required Skills & Competencies:
