Role Overview:

The Procurement Lead (Civil Packages) will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement activities related to civil works for our projects in the Delhi NCR region. This role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services while maintaining quality and timelines. The Procurement Lead will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects. This role directly impacts project profitability, efficiency, and overall success by optimizing procurement processes and building strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil packages to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to expand the supplier base and ensure competitive pricing.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.

- Manage vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.

- Monitor market trends and commodity prices to identify potential risks and opportunities.

- Collaborate with project teams to understand their requirements and provide procurement support.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.

- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental goals.

- Conduct regular audits of procurement processes to identify areas for improvement.

- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute procurement strategies for large-scale civil projects.

- Proven expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

- Strong understanding of civil engineering materials, construction processes, and industry best practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team.

- 15-20 years of relevant experience in procurement within the real estate or construction industry, with a focus on civil packages.
