Position: Litigation Head

Experience: 17+ years

Age Limit: Up to 50 years

Industry Preference: Real Estate / Oil & Gas / Engineering

Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law / Solicitor

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Litigation Head to lead and manage the company's legal and litigation functions. The role involves strategizing, overseeing, and executing all litigation matters to safeguard the organization's interests, while ensuring legal compliance and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review all litigation matters and advise management on the best course of action.

- Investigate, research, and analyze legal issues; appoint suitable Advocates/Solicitors based on expertise and performance.

- Attend court proceedings and coordinate with legal counsel for all Civil, Criminal, and Arbitration cases.

- Review and draft responses to legal notices, ensuring timely filing in line with court directives.

- Negotiate and settle disputes amicably to minimize time and financial losses.

- Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Projects, Liaison, Commercial, Operations, etc.) to understand legal issues and draft appropriate notices, replies, rejoinders, or sur-rejoinders.

- Draft and file complaints, notices, and lawsuits on behalf of the company; represent management during hearings and appeals to ensure favorable outcomes.

- Keep abreast of latest amendments, notifications, acts, and judicial pronouncements; advise management on implications for the business.

- Maintain a detailed litigation MIS and ensure proper documentation and compliance.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Legal Managers and Executives to ensure timely deliverables.

- Negotiate commercials and terms with Solicitor Firms and manage departmental budgets effectively to ensure cost efficiency.

- In-depth knowledge of civil, criminal, and arbitration laws.

- Proven experience in managing high-value litigation and dispute resolution.

- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.

- Excellent drafting and communication abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

- Strategic thinker with sound business judgment.
