Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Chartered Accountant (CA) to join Lifesight as a Finance Manager (FM)/Associate Finance Manager (AFM). You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust statutory compliance, and driving periodic financial analysis to support management decision-making. This role requires a blend of rigorous control mindset and analytical capability to track business metrics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations & Process Control

- Day-to-Day Management: Oversee end-to-end financial processes including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Revenue Recognition, and General Ledger (GL) maintenance.

- Internal Controls (IFC/ICFR): Design and test internal financial controls to ensure process integrity. Implement robust audit frameworks to mitigate risk across procurement and finance functions.

- Multi-Entity Management: Manage financial accounts and operations for the group's multiple entities (including potential international/GCC subsidiaries), ensuring consistent standards across all units.

2. Revenue Operations & Recognition

- Subscription Management: Oversee the "Order-to-Cash" cycle for high-volume subscription billing, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections.

- Revenue Assurance: Ensure revenue recognition complies with relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606 / IFRS 15) for subscription-based revenue models.

- Deferred Revenue: Manage deferred revenue schedules and reconciliations to ensure accurate monthly P&L reporting.

3. SaaS Metrics & Strategic FP&A

- Unit Economics: Own the tracking and reporting of critical SaaS metrics, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Churn, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and Lifetime Value (LTV).

- Cohort Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on customer cohorts to understand retention behaviors and net revenue retention (NRR), delivering actionable insights for growth.

- Viability & Expansion: Conduct financial viability analysis for new product lines or market expansions, ensuring data-driven investment decisions.

4. Statutory Compliance & Audit

- Taxation & Filing: Ensure 100% compliance with Direct and Indirect taxes (GST, TDS, Corporate Tax). Manage filing of returns (GSTR-9/9C) and handle departmental assessments or appeals if necessary.

- Audit Leadership: Lead statutory and internal audits, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Ensure timely closure of books and accurate financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAPs.

- Global Compliance: Manage compliance requirements for international entities

Candidate Requirements:

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1-3 years of experience.

- Industry Experience: Prior experience in a SaaS or Technology startup environment is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in SaaS KPIs (ARR, Churn, Net Retention).

- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling.

- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Oracle NetSuite.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Google Sheets.

Soft Skills:

- Strong analytical mind with the ability to "tell the story" behind the numbers.

- Experience managing teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
