What makes the role meaty?

The Business Finance (Gross Margin) role will be a key finance business partner responsible for owning, analyzing, and improving gross margins across categories. The role will work closely with sourcing, procurement, operations, supply chain, category management, and pricing teams to drive margin expansion through cost optimization, pricing discipline, yield improvement, and waste reduction

- Act as the finance SPOC for assigned business units / categories / functions

- Partner closely with business leaders to drive financial discipline and performance outcomes

- Provide data-backed insights and recommendations for key business decisions

- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning

- Own MIS, variance analysis, and performance tracking against targets

- Identify key risks and opportunities; proactively drive corrective actions

- Drive deep dives into unit economics, margins, and cost structures

- Partner with operations, supply chain, and category teams on cost optimization initiatives

- Track ROI on new initiatives, launches, and expansion plans

- Present financial insights and narratives to senior leadership and CXO stakeholders

- Build strong cross-functional relationships across business, operations, and central teams

- Strengthen financial processes, reporting frameworks, and governance mechanisms

- Support audits, reviews, and compliance requirements as needed.

We hope that you are a:

- CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute with 3+ years of experience.

- Prior experience in consumer, D2C, FMCG, e-commerce, or high-growth environments preferred

- Strong exposure to stakeholder-facing finance roles

- Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Strong business understanding and ability to translate numbers into insights

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments - Strong communication and executive presentation skill
