LH2 Holdings - Founder's Office Role

About:

Built by second-time founders who have built and sold companies before, LH2 AI Labs (lh2.ai) is building the post-training infrastructure for frontier AI models. We bring private, high-quality institutional datasets and vetted domain experts to frontier AI pipelines across verticals like coding, computer use, agentic, medical, audio and more.

For AI to keep progressing, it needs high-quality datasets drawn from real production use cases. The public web has already been crawled and trained on - there's nothing left in the public domain to learn from. That's where we come in: we partner with institutions to connect their data to frontier models and help advance AGI.

The role:

We're looking for smart people to lead our data verticals - coding, finance, company operations, medical, audio, egocentric, and more.

Leading a vertical means an ownership mindset and owning the entire data stack: finding the right data owners, understanding what frontier models need to train on, negotiating licensing rights, building the data pipelines with our engineering team, and closing the licensing agreements.

This is a seat in the founder's office, but read this part carefully: it is not a chief-of-staff, strategy, or analysis role. It's a carry-a-number, cold-outreach, close-the-deal role that happens to sit right next to the founders. If you want to build decks and shape strategy without ever owning a number, this isn't it. Think of it as a VERTICAL LEAD function.

Here's how it works. We point you at a vertical - codebases, medical, audio, whatever's next - and you go build its supply from scratch. You figure out who in the world has the data and expertise we need, work out how to win them, and close them. You own the whole thing: who to approach, in what order, on what terms, and where the moat gets built. Each vertical runs like its own small business, and what you learn in the field shapes what the founders prioritise next.

Every "customer" here is a supply partner - a company, archive, publisher, institution, or individual contributor sitting on data or expertise we want. Most are relationships that don't exist yet; your job is to originate them and get to yes. These are mid-market and SMB-style deals: small decision-making groups, usually a founder and maybe a couple of others, and you running the whole conversation end to end. If you've closed deals with fewer than five people in the room - and liked it - you'll feel at home.

We can teach you the domain, the data, the AI landscape. We can't teach you to think on your feet or to want the close. That part you bring.

What youll actually do:

Build Institutional Supply:

- Run the full cycle Solo : Outreach - Discovery - Pitch - Objection - Handling - Negotiation - Close.

- Read what a partner has and what they care about, then build a deal that works on both sides. Every deal is bespoke - this is problem-solving, not order-taking.

- Negotiate the terms and get the data and the signature.

- Where the vertical needs an expert bench, go recruit and sign the experts too.

Own the vertical:

- Manage your book of partners after the close - onboarding, payments, follow-ups.

- Hold the quality bar: make sure what's coming in clears the spec, and have the hard conversation when it doesn't.

- Hit your coverage targets and protect your margin.

- Feed the founders the truth from the field - what's available, at what cost, where the constraints are - and help shape what the vertical does next.

What were looking for:

- Genuinely sharp. Top-tier education and/or time at well-regarded companies - you've operated around a high bar and it shows. You pick things up fast and you can hold your own in a room.

- Consultative problem-solver - you read what a counterpart needs, solve the problem in front of you, and build a deal around it.

- Think like an owner - comfortable shaping how your vertical goes to market, not just executing a plan handed to you.

- Comfortable negotiating bespoke, non-standard terms.

- Sharp on quality: you can tell what's worth closing and what isn't.

- High ownership; thrive in fast, ambiguous environments.

- You can sell. 2-5 years in sales, partnerships, or BD with a real sales cycle - ideally opening and building new relationships from scratch (new-business / new-logo, not just managing an existing book). You've carried a number and owned deals end to end.
