Role Summary:

The Vice President - Operations will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing execution and plant performance, with a strong focus on productivity, quality, cost control, safety, and workforce discipline. The role requires a hands-on manufacturing leader with deep shop-floor expertise and the ability to deliver consistent operational results.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership across production, quality, maintenance, tooling, utilities, and plant support functions

- Deliver production output targets while driving yield improvement, scrap reduction, and downtime control

- Establish strong production planning, scheduling, and shop-floor execution discipline

- Manage and develop a large shop-floor workforce, supervisors, and line managers

- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality systems, and all statutory and regulatory requirements

- Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing operations

Authority & Scope:

- Holds accountability for plant-level execution and operational performance KPIs

- Operates with full authority within manufacturing operations, reporting directly to the CEO / MD

Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Polymer Engineering mandatory)

- Masters preferred

- 15-25 years of extensive experience in manufacturing operations

- Strong shop-floor leadership and line-management background

- Prior experience in plastic manufacturing environments preferred

- Exposure to African or emerging market operations is an advantage
