
About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned procurement leader to drive end-to-end store rollout procurement for our retail expansion. This is a high-impact role responsible for new store openings (NSO), store Capex & Opex, Repair & Maintenance, P2P governance, vendor management, and store fitouts including furniture & fixtures - all while managing a team of 7 associates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Store Opening & Rollout
- Own procurement lifecycle for all new store launches - from planning to handover
- Coordinate with Real Estate, Projects, Design & Retail Ops teams on procurement timelines
- Manage simultaneous multi-location store rollouts across geographies.
2. Capex & Opex Procurement
- Lead procurement for civil, MEP, HVAC, IT infra, and all store capex items
- Manage opex procurement - AMCs, housekeeping, consumables, and store supplies
- Track budgets, approve BOQs, and monitor actuals vs. approved capex.
3. Repair & Maintenance (R&M)
- Empanel and manage R&M vendors with defined SLAs and KPIs
- Negotiate AMC contracts and ensure full coverage for store equipment & civil works.
4. Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Govern end-to-end P2P cycle - requisition, PO, GRN, and invoice processing
- Ensure 100% adherence to policies, DOA, and SOPs; drive ERP-based automation.
5. Vendor Management
- Build and maintain a preferred vendor ecosystem for fitout, F&F & facility services
- Conduct vendor audits, performance reviews, and drive consolidation initiatives.
6. Store Fitouts, Furniture & Fixtures
- Lead procurement of gondolas, display racks, checkout counters, trial rooms, signage
- Develop standardised F&F specifications across store formats.
7. Cost Savings
- Deliver 3-7% YoY savings through negotiation, bundling & value engineering
- Benchmark market rates, analyse TCO, maintain savings tracker & MIS reports.
8. Audit & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with internal controls, statutory norms (GST, TDS), and audit readiness
- Maintain contract registers, vendor files, and PO trails for zero critical audit findings.
9. Stakeholder Management
- Interface with Real Estate, Projects, Finance, Legal & Store Operations
- Present procurement plans and cost reports to senior leadership.
10. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach & develop a team of 7 procurement associates
- Set KRAs, manage performance, and drive a culture of ownership & excellence
What We're Looking For?
- B.E./B.Tech (Civil/Mech/Electrical) + MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferred
- 12+ years of experience in procurement, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in retail store rollouts or project-based procurement
- Hands-on with ERP systems - SAP MM / Ariba / Oracle or equivalent
- Strong track record in audit compliance & internal controls
- CPSM / CIPS / Six Sigma certification is a plus
