Job Title: Category Manager New Business (01 Growth)

Role Type & Location: Full-Time | Mumbai | In-Office

Reporting To: Chief Business Officer

We are now building a brand-new category that will expand our offerings creating a more holistic financial ecosystem for our users.

This is a 01 ownership role, where you will shape strategy, product journeys, marketing

alignment, and growth for a new category.

II. Your Role (Outcome-Focused):

In this role, you will be expected to achieve the following key results in your first 612 months:

1. Launch and scale a brand-new category, delivering strong user adoption and early repeat behaviour

2. Develop the categorys strategy and value proposition, identifying differentiation opportunities in a competitive landscape

3. Improve user journeys and funnels, collaborating closely with Product to remove friction and drive conversion

4. Work daily with Marketing to build communication and GTM, ensuring messaging resonates with Insta Moneys user base and new category specific users

5. Drive cross-functional execution, aligning Product, Marketing, Ops, Design, and external partners toward category KPIs

6. Own competitive & market research, transforming insights into actionable growth experiments

7. Deliver measurable outcomes, including activation metrics, repeat usage, retention, and contribution to the IM ecosystem

III. Candidate / Skill Requirements:

A. Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable):

Experience:

- 3 - 5 years in Growth/Category Management/Product/Business role in Fintech or Ecommerce domain

- Experience working closely with both Marketing & Product teams

Core Skills:

- Strong initiative and ownershipcomfort in 01, ambiguous, fast-moving environments

- Structured problem-solving; ability to break down open-ended problems

- Data comfort: funnel analysis, dashboards, Excel/Sheets, user insights

- Clear communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams

B. Bonus: Good-to-Haves:

- Postgraduate (MBA/MMS preferred but not mandatory if execution ability is strong)

- Launched or scaled a new category or financial product or involvement in GTM planning, partner management, or early-stage category building

- Experience on CleverTap, Google Analytics or any other analytical tool

IV. Career Progression:

Growth Trajectory:

This role is designed as a pipeline to Senior Category Manager / Growth Lead within 24 months, with potential to later head / own the category

- Cross-functional leadership

- Funnel ownership & behavioural design

- Growth experimentation & data-driven decision making

Reporting Evolution:

With success and scale, the role may expand to manage a team, owning a full P&L and a broader portfolio of products
